Leila Mire has performed with various groups including the Tennessee Children’s Dance Ensemble, ClancyWorks Dance Company, Terre Dance Collective, the Silk Road Dance Company, KYC Dance, NY Light, ICONS, ChoreoNova, and several others. Her training background primarily revolves around modern, ballet, jazz, musical theatre, and Middle Eastern dance.
Dance has brought her to Cuba, Haiti, and Jordan in addition to numerous local and national tours. She has trained and performed works by artists like Randy Duncan, Michael Mao, Stacey Tookey, Christopher d’Amboise, Zoe Scofield, Dante Puleio, Christopher K. Morgan, Ernesta Corvino, Laura Glenn, Paul Dennis, Claire Bataille, Eleo Pomare, David Dorfman, Gesel Mason, and Dr. Adrienne Clancy.
She also performs her work all over the country in addition to creating and performing with her dance partner, Nadia Khayrallah. The latter partnership has been featured on the Queer Arabs Podcast and has performed at YallaPunk Festival, Salon Al-Mahjar, and the Move to Change Festival.
Most recently, Leila has been conducting research as part of Carolyn Dorfman's Communities Connecting Heritage Project through the U.S. State Department.
